Mindroid is an Android app that functions as an Auditory Visual Stimulation device (also known as a Mind Machine). This app stimulates each hemisphere of the brain with a signal, either audible or visual, that has a slightly different frequency. This stimulation aims to influence brain waves. Mindroid offers various programs that can help you relax, meditate, be more creative and productive, or aid in sleep. It is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with stress or insomnia. The stimulation provided by Mindroid is comparable to that of dedicated Auditory Visual Stimulation devices. It is important to use headphones in order to effectively experience the audible stimulation.
To perform visual stimulation, simply close your eyes and align the red spots on your display with your eyes.
Mindroid is fully compatible and recommended for use with cardboard goggles or compatible light stimulating glasses or sleep masks.
If you are satisfied with the default settings, you are welcome to use Mindroid for free. However, to access all available programs and customize them for different environments, consider purchasing the Mindroid Unlock. Ensure that you install the Unlock on top of the current installation without uninstalling Mindroid.

Explanation of visual modes:
- Monaural: This is the primary mode, and other modes are mostly experimental. In monaural mode, the target frequency is used for both eyes.
- Binaural: Each eye receives a different frequency, and the target frequency is determined by the difference between the two.
- Bihemispheric: This mode is based on the theory that each side of the eye is connected to a different hemisphere of the brain.
- Combo: This mode is purely experimental and incorporates all of the above modes, primarily to induce visual fantasies.
